Broker Check

When you meet with us our first goal is to get to know you and what is important to you. You will not be pitched a product or pressured into a commitment here; on the contrary, we strive to make your experience here as comfortable, honest and open as possible. We work together to design your personal, customized plan in a few distinct stages:

1. Initial Meeting

At this first step we will spend time learning about you and what you are looking to accomplish. This is not a sales pitch; during this meeting our top priority is to spend our time listening and focusing on your needs and concerns, and we encourage you to share your vision, goals, values and what you expect out of a financial advisor. We will review your current situation and ask about your short and long-term financial goals. Once we have a deep understanding of what’s important in your life, we can then effectively translate that into an action plan that you can follow. We will also outline the rest of the process and explain our role and responsibilities.

2. Analysis and Proposal Design

This step is where we will do the majority of our work. From the information that you shared with us at the first meeting, we will analyze your current situation and prepare a proposal with specific recommendations. By using a mix of financial planning software, investment analysis tools, expertise, and good old-fashioned brainpower, we will identify any deficient areas and introduce strategies designed to improve them.

3. Presentation

At this meeting we will recommend specific actions and steps to help address each of your financial goals and areas of concern that you shared with us earlier. We will explain each recommendation to ensure that you understand why we are giving each piece of advice and how it is specifically designed to help you. We also use this meeting to explain the basics of investing and the financial markets to ensure that every client begins here with a solid foundation of knowledge. We encourage your feedback throughout the meeting and will make any adjustments to the plan if necessary.

4. Implementation

Once we have decided on a course of action we will then begin to implement the plan. This is another step where we do all the work, as this part may involve transferring assets here from another firm, rolling over a 401K or retirement plan, or setting up new investment accounts for you. Depending on the recommendations you decide upon, we may carry out all the actions or serve as your advisor, coordinating the whole process with you and other professionals such as your attorney or CPA.

5. Completion and Review Meeting

At this time we meet once more to review the work we have done together and to ensure that everything has been completed to your satisfaction. We will discuss our objective and expectations going forward, as well as help you get started using online account access and other account monitoring tools.

Finally, we will transition into monitoring your progress to make sure that your plan remains relevant throughout any life changes. This is not a firm where you only hear from us once a year; we maintain a regular channel of communication with you and ensure that you have scheduled review meetings with us to monitor your progress. During the year we will personally reach out to you often to see if there is anything more we can do to be better serving you.
